Have you ever felt like you just stepped away from a family shoot in London like it was a kids catalog shoot!? Well this was that kind of day. Being a London family photographer, I get to be so creative in my environment with location scouting.
“Being a family means you are a part of something very wonderful. It means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life.”
Tower bridge and London Bridge area is such a fun place for a family shoot in London. The kids can run around past the running fountains (It also creates magical photos) and the parents can just play along with no worries. As soon as I saw the family’s cute outfits, I knew I was in for a treat! We met early on Tower Bridge for a sunrise session. The Family’s from America so it made it even more special to go all British feels for the photoshoot.
Special words from the family |
We had the most wonderful experience with Nkima! She was so patient and flexible, especially with our almost-two-year-old during the shoot. Nkima was personable, professional and such a joy to work with… plus her photos are to die for! We cannot recommend her highly enough.

I recently returned from the most amazing holiday in New Zealand. Photographing my family that moved across the world to live in such a beautiful place, was not hard at all! Being a London family photographer, I am always on the lookout for locations and environments where kids can run free and have fun! This will make the shoot a breeze rather than a sweaty session, who can relate?
Let’s get candid
It’s no secret that New Zealand has the most incredible spaces to plan a shoot. We decided to head to Shakespear regional park for sunrise. The kids were totally fine with that, but mum and dad? 5 am wake up is way too early but oh so worth it! I always like to plan the outfits with mum beforehand so the whole gang compliments each other. Shooting a family of 5 is no joke, let’s be real. Little ones just want to be free and not be stared at with a big camera. I try to make the hour count with running, snacks and playful poses, I prefer candid shots rather than super posed images. We want to see the family like it was an everyday outing and capture that. Treat mum this mothers day for a family photoshoot in London!
Mystical dunes people, are you ready for the most gorgeous family session? Yes, I now call myself a Dubai family photographer. We will be returning to steamy Dubai early June this year! Would love to capture your special moments with the little ones, book your sunrise session here.
ABOUT THE STYLE
Oh my favourite topic to bring up! This is not a secret at all. I had a vision of the look, feel, colour and of course the time of day. Shireen’s (Mum) eyes sparkled when we put everything together. Blush and dreamy feels for the win! The kiddies are girly as they come, they were in barbie dress-up heaven. Oh and don’t forget to dress papa bear. A white shirt is always so beautiful and handsome on a man, so that one was easy.
To master the mystical feels I was going for it had to be sunrise.
ABOUT THE SESSION
This was such an incredible experience to drive past the Dubai dunes bright and early looking for the perfect location. But first breakfast. Always breakfast! Right? We made a little fire in the middle of nowhere (yes you can do that, so not in the Uk) and had bacon buns and coffee watching the sunrise peak. I had the privilege to photograph a family that’s so close to my heart. This was actually our 3rd session together, so smiles were flowing! What a joy it is taking pictures of 3 stunning sisters so close to mamma. It felt effortless, you can see the bond they all have. It’s hasn’t been the easiest journey to move from London to Dubai, but the Le Roux’s make every obstacle an adventure.
