Yes. I just went there and it’s the feeling of LOVE.
Who’s ready for a blog post with a whole lot of juicy detail as this was one of THOSE days…At last I get to share all about this summers London wedding atSpring, Somerset house. Jess and Rob got ready at the slickest modern hotel,ME London. The enchanting city views had me inspired (If I wasn’t already!) Jess had her nearest and dearest as her bridesmaids and boy was I stunned by the love the girls have for each other, a true sisterhood. They got glammed up in the most luxurious suite overlooking London. Champagne & tears were flowing that’s for sure. I loved the space, the simplistic essence of the room made it a dream to shoot in. Natural light teamed up with white leather furniture. Yes. Just.Yes.
The two love birds chose the perfect venue for them, small and intimate Spring Somerset house wedding. Surely nothing’s typical about this wedding. Not only did they rock the chicest look together but the style of the day was Botanical, tropical bliss with an editorial feel of course. They tied the knot at Old Marylebone town hall and it could’t be more special. Seeing Rob’s teary expression as soon as he had a peek at Jess walking down the isle was so special. Yes I get emotionally involved as a photographer and I feel like that matters for those candid moments. We hopped on a red London Bus towards Somerset House, one of the guests started to play the guitar and everyone sang along to good old tunes. The mood was everything and more! The sun was setting and it was the golden moment for the couple session. Luckily the square was fairly quiet. I took full advantage of the time given and snapped till my heart’s content. Rob and Jess loved every moment and was so present in the moment. They made my job a whole lot easier let me tell you.
Having their grand entrance at Spring was just magical, Jess looked like a little girl who just went to Disneyland. The closeness and happiness they share with their friends and family is definitely why a intimate small wedding is perfect for them. They could really take it all in… See for yourself, Otherwise I would rave about them all day long…
Passionate Dreamy
Pinky tone loving!
From the Bride herself |
”By far the best decision we made for our wedding. As photographers ourselves this was the most important thing to us but also our biggest concern. From the moment I face-timed Nkima for our initial consultation I knew she was the one for us. Throughout the whole process she was incredible and felt like a friend straight away. On the day she blended in perfectly and made everyone feel so comfortable. I loved being photographed by her. We are in love with EVERY SINGLE photo and admire her luxurious sense of style. She really does light up the room. Amazing human, amazing photographer and a new friend for me! Win win!”
A wonderful day filled with romance at De Vere Grand Connaught rooms. A wedding venue in the heart of Covent Garden. The style of the day was was black and pure white sophistication. My stunning bride and groom got ready at The Waldorf Hilton hotel , surely that’s a photographers dream. The Palm court has natural light beaming down towards the tropical palms and white marble, giving it a London chic essence with a hint of island feels. Perfect for the couple’s mood for their honeymoon destination…. The Maldives!
The look and feel of the day was spring and all whites, my perfect combination!
Luxury London photographer
My beautiful couple took each others hands and walked towards their reception room. This would be the first time they’ll see it. Filled with rich golds and white cherry blossom trees. The celebrations started right there with a harpist playing soundly in the background to set the mood. The evening went on to be the one of my favourite memories of cultured dancing. They call it the money dance, and boy did the dollar bills fly!
It’s an absolute joy to share the most special gift a couple could ask for. A mini repeat of their wedding day but with a London twist! One of the reasons why I adore being a luxury wedding photographer is style and presence. Charlotte & George have a special place in my heart, not only are they beautiful human beings but they make you feel BEAUTIFUL, INSIDE OUT.
Modupe Charlotte & George were married in an opulent ceremony in London with 350 guests. As a surprise to the bride I gathered their wedding team and organised a sentimental intimate session with light and beauty in some of their favourite London spots. For just the two of them. At 5am we started a journey across London which ended in the Bride’s favourite childhood park. From the greys of Westminster to the cobble stones of Covent Garden in their wedding outfits and replicated flowers we made their wedding more than just one memory. The Monochrome suit fabric was perfectly matched with her Allure dress. Which was layer after layer of tulle dreams with a hint of bodice sparkle. A nude and radiant makeup brief perfectly brought out her natural features. With the most spectacular photographer it was shoot to remember for the whole team and the sweetest surprise for the bride!
The inspiration for this wedding shoot came from New York City with a London twist! The chic but elegant busy bride, roaming the streets with a black oversized hat. Her best accessory? Well of course her gorgeously handsome husband walking hand in hand. Being a London wedding photographer you are constantly on the look out for gorgeous light and boy did we get some golden rays.
New York City with a London twist!
Maria from Mirror Mirror boutique knew just which dress would look classic but not too overpowering with a hat statement. We envisioned the style of the shoot to be very minimalistic, black and whites with a flare of olive green. The stationary from Dimitria Jordan had that luxurious feel of pure black elegance for a bride who loves a bit of edge. The event designers, Katie Stocks brought her stylish flare to the shoot to create a stunning vision board of a London elopement.
Summer’s Wedding at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London
Erika and Ben flew in all the way from New York to tie the knot in sunny, yes sunny London. We were blessed with the hottest summer! We started our day walking around the St Pancras Renaissance hotel to scout locations that’s not too bright in sunshine. Well that’s a first for me living in the UK.
Erika and Ben decided to invest in the most incredible Wedding Planner,Helen Eriksen Weddings. Helen was the most professional planner on the day and handled everything with class and experience. We felt so at ease to just capture the day with no unexpected surprises. Our lovely couple did the all American first look. It was as romantic as imagined, Ben walked in the room and Erika’s expression says it all! Our bride looked fabulous in her Le Spose di Gio wedding dress, very classy and simplistic. We made our way to the front entrance of The Renaissance Hotel for the couple session followed by a few fun moments with the bridal party inside Kings Cross station.
If you’re looking for a Wedding photographer based in London I’m your girl! I know the city inside out, and will do my very best to assure you have all those memorable moments captured.
My style is editorial with a natural flare of goodness, by goodness I mean the delightfulness of natural light. I will always be on the lookout for locations that fit’s my style but also happy to be creative in darker environments. Photography is all about growth for me, being out of my comfort-zone is not only a fun challenge but also a learning curve. Shooting at The Renaissance Hotel was just that! A time to grow and be creative with your environment. Enjoy looking though Erika & Ben’s gallery.
LUXURY DESTINATION WEDDING, GRAND PALLADIUM JAMAICA
The moment I met Miranda and her crew of girlfriends I knew they were my kinda people! Bursting with excitement and joy, the feeling were mutual. Miranda and Neve planned their luxury destination wedding in Jamaica at the most gorgeous 5 star hotel, Grand Palladium.
I was surprised with the most amazing Julie Vino gown and Jimmy Choo crystal embellished shoes
My husband and I flew all the way from London to Jamaica, got to love being a destination photographer. Having the privilege to experience cultural weddings is indescribable. We checked into the hotel and walked for hours finding the most beautiful locations. It’s not hard to scout interesting spots for images in a place like this. The morning of the wedding I was surprised with the most amazing Julie Vino gown and Jimmy Choo crystal embellished shoes. This is a photographers dream! Miranda has a whopping number of bridesmaids, 15 to be exact! This made the whole day so fun as you can see, they were spirited! The reaction Neve had seeing Miranda walking towards him gave everyone chills! Such a loving couple who deserves each other. See the romance of the day yourself.
